HANOI VIETNAM

Hanoi City
Explore and find out the different historical
place of Hanoi Vietnam.

Hanoi City

Hanoi is the capital of Vietnam and the second largest city of Vietnam.Hanoi is located in the on the right bank of theRed River. 1,760 km (1,090 mi) north of Ho Chi Minh City, formerly called Saigon., formerly called Saigon. Hanoi is where imagination becomes reality. See the bold and beautiful dine at designer restaurants and cut the latest moves on the dance floor. Hanoi has it all: the ancient history, a colonial legacy and a modern outlook. There is no better place to untangle the paradox that is modern Vietnam. Hanoi City is a sacred land of Vietnam. The year 1010 then became an historical date for Hanoi and for the whole country in general. For about a thousand years, the capital was called Than Long (Soaring Dragon), then changing to Dong Do, Dong King, and finally to Hanoi, in 1831. This sacred piece of land thereafter continued to be the theatre of many fateful events. Throughout the thousand years of its eventful history, marked by destruction, wars and natural calamities, Hanoi still preserves many ancient architectural works including the Old Quarter and over 600 pagodas and temples. Famous sites include the One Pillar Pagoda (built in 1049), the Temple of Literature (built in 1070), Hanoi Citadel, Hanoi Opera House, President Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum... Hanoi also characteristically contains 18 beautiful lakes.
Hanoi City A city of lakes shaded boulevards and verdant public parks where jeans-clad young lovers stroll beside their venerable elders practising elegant, slow-motion shadow boxing. Hanoi's prosperous shop owners exemplify Vietnam's new economic reforms while traditional ways along the merchant guild streets in the Old Quarter live on as a reminder of the city's rich cultural heritage.
Hanoi, capital of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (SRV), is different things to different people. Most foreigners on a short visit find Hanoi to be slow paced, pleasant and even charming. Physically, it's a more attractive city than Ho Chi Minh City there is less traffic, noise and pollution with more trees and open spaces. Some have called it the Paris of the Orient - which 'Parisians could consider either an insult or a compliment. Hanoi's centre is an architectural museum piece, its blocks of ochre buildings retaining the air of a provincial French town of the 1930s. The people of Hanoi are known for being more reserved and at the same time more traditionally hospitable - than their southern compatriots.

CHRISTMAS IN DOLLYWOOD

A Cherish moment of me and my husband with a great Dollywood.

A Christmas season was so nice spending to Dollywood, is one of the famous Theme Park in Tennessee located at Pigeon Forge. The theme park owned Dolly Parton a country music singer performer and Herschend Family Entertainment Corporation. The park first open was 1961 as a small tourist attraction and name "Rebel Railroad", featuring a steam train, general store, blacksmith shop, and saloon. In 1986, Dolly Parton became a co-owner, and the park was renamed "Dollywood". In addition to standard amusement park thrill rides, Dollywood features traditional crafts and music of the Smoky Mountains area. Dollywood is affiliated with the adjacent water park, Dollywood's Splash Country, and the chain of Dixie Stampede dinner theaters. In addition, the park hosts a number of concerts and musical events each year, including concert appearances by Parton, as well as other national and local musical acts.
Dollywood is also the site of the Southern Gospel Museum and Hall of Fame, sponsored by the Southern Gospel Music Association, an independent non-profit corporation.

OLD MILL OF PIGEON FORGE

The Old Mill restaurant at the Pigeon Forge Tennessee

The mill faithfully reproduced of meals and flour for day to day existence of the Smokies' early settlers. Back in early 1800's, a water powered gristmill on the banks of the little Pigeon River became one of the main hubs of activity in the small mountain community.
The giant water wheel that harnesses the flow of the Little Pigeon River is the attractive feature.
The Old Mill are known for biscuits, corn bread, pancakes, hush puppies, muffins and grits. They also use their own grains for the homemade artisan style breads that are prepared each day at The Old Mill Pottery House Cafe & Grille. They have special event also specially in Christmas. They make pottery, candy, decoration for the house and toys for a gift.

The Old Mill is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and just as in the 19th century, it's still one of the most popular places in the Smokies and one of the most photographed mills in the country.
